Public and Private Schools in Dubai

All of Dubai schools are regulated by the Dubai Ministry of Education

Public schools in Dubai are government-sponsored and the curricula that is followed is set according to the UAE ministry. Arabic and English are the main languages used in public schools in Dubai. The standard of teaching and education throughout the UAE is excellent and to a very high standard.

In Dubai there are also a lot of private schools which are all internationally certified and attract some of the best teachers from around the globe. Schools obviously vary in standards and facilities but they tend to offer a very high level of education and offer excellent facilities. Expat children often go to private schools and international schools in Dubai.

The curricula of many foreign countries is followed at alot of the private schools in Dubai, mainly because there is a large expat population in the Emirate. British and American study programs in addition to the International Baccalaureate are all followed in Dubai schools. There are also a number of schools that use the curriculum of India, France, Germany, Australian, Russia and Japan.

There are private school buses on offer at a number of the Dubai schools that will pick up and drop off children at home. Schools in Dubai usually start from 7am to 8am and finish around 2pm to 3pm.
